In the T20 World Cup 2024 match between the India national cricket team and the Pakistan national cricket team, Virat Kohli was dismissed for just 4 runs, adding to his previous low score of 1 against Ireland in the first Group A match. Kohli played an ill-timed shot to a wide delivery from Naseem Shah, which went straight into Usman Khan's hands during the second over. His disappointment was evident as he walked back to the pavilion, and Anushka Sharma's reaction, captured on camera, quickly went viral.


Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam won the toss and chose to bowl, citing the weather and pitch conditions as favorable for their four fast bowlers. "We will bowl first because of the weather and moisture in the pitch. The conditions suit us, we have four fast bowlers. We will try to use it to our best," Babar said at the toss. He also mentioned the confidence boost that comes with an India vs Pakistan match and noted Azam Khan's rest.


India's captain Rohit Sharma expressed a similar strategy, saying he would have opted to bowl first as well. "We need to assess how conditions play and come up with an idea of what a good score is. We've spoken about what we need to do as a batting unit to get a good score and then we've got the bowling unit to defend," Rohit said. He emphasized the importance of every game in the World Cup.
